eBay seems to be dying a death for me. One auction after another has been ending without a bid lately, and this is at prices that are really too low for me to offer in the first place!
If it goes on like this, I will need to get myself a nine-to-five job to pay my bills, and my art will slowly disappear, (which will kill me.)
In an effort to lower my outgoings, I am going to be listing my originals at my own shop for a while. No bidding wars, just plain and simple prices. Do feel free to let me know what you think about this, please.
In preparation, the shop has had a little makeover, and I will be adding more new prints and originals over the coming days.
A word about my shop in general… You only need to register there once and all your future visits just need a simple log in if you wish to purchase again. Your details are NEVER given to anyone but me. Payments are done through PayPal, so they are the only people to see your credit or debit card details and all their protections apply. So please feel free to register there now to make it easier when you see that first “must have” piece of art!

This was great fun to do!
I used a real chain on the muir cap, and the little flowerpot he’s sitting on is shop-bought. Everything else is sculpted by me.

More pix in the Sculptures gallery!

A new little elf! I don’t know what it is with these little creatures - they always look so… lascivious.
You just know they’re going to be trouble, the moment you get them home. Goodness knows what they get up to, when they climb down from your shelf in the dead of night…!

It was strange the way they came about. I’ve always made art, but I had settled into doing nothing but drawing and painting for quite some time. But, at the end of last year, I just suddenly started to think about sculpting, out of the blue. And the call of it wouldn’t go away. I would sit there, drawing, and little 3D creatures and ideas would come into my head… In the end, I just had to give in to it, and got myself some polymer clay and tools.
And these little elves were the first thing to be born from that clay and calling, with Naughty Imp being my first sculpture.
I have no idea where their image came from. There was no planning for it, no sketching. This little “species” was almost completely formed already in my head, and then born in clay.
They mix beautifully with my love for anatomy, and my sense of humour, I think. They also give me something I’ve been craving for a long time - freedom from religiously following reference images. For the first time, my art is completely my own, from concept to completion - and that is the primary reason, I believe, that they feel like such a very special gift to me.
